Enjoyed this post. I think that until recently I never thought about ways to effectively use social networking to further advocate for myself or my ideas, leaving me with a big audience of friends and supporters that I never communicated with.

Thanks for the follow-up Andrea. I like your “total ROI” thought. Will this person offer me anything beyond a number or not? BTW – I love Gladwell as an author – check out Blink if you haven’t already, and I can’t wait to get his new one, Outliers!

Last thing – one REALLY easy way to show me that I won’t see any ROI from you is to constantly tweet about “help me get more followers!”
