I had heard about Chicago, I got the call for papers for that. As much as I would love to go to these things outside of our area, you know as well as I the budgets for conference participation are lower this year. So we have to be choosy. I think the Social Media and Government Conferences are more regimented and smaller audiences than an unconference. I do think that Gov20Camp should be an annual thing but not always in DC. I would think a formal poll should be held on the government 2.0 club website coordinating with the founders (if necessary) to where the next event should be. As well as knowing there are champions in this new city that can take on all the volunteer duties.

Andrea - interesting that you mention holding one of these in another city. Have you seen this posting over on GovLoop yet (http://www.govloop.com/forum/topics/which-city-is-best-for-a-sm?groupUrl=government20club&)?

Seems that they decided on Chicago for their next social media and government conference - I'd be interested in hearing what type of crowd they draw.
