New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim vows to bring the team back to where it belongs.

Amorim flew into Manchester on Monday after being confirmed as Erik ten Hag’s replacement.

The 39-year-old is the seventh man since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013 to take up the challenge of trying to get United competing for major trophies again.

None of them has been able to engineer a sustained Premier League title push, taken United beyond the last eight of the Champions League or completed three full seasons in the job.

Amorim was just unveiled as Manchester United’s new manager and gave his first official interview on Friday.

“I feel very honoured to be here because I know how big this club is and I really believe we can be successful,” the young coach said.

“l will do everything for the team. I will protect my players if I have to at any time and protect everyone.”

“That’s the main point for me. I will try everything to bring this club back to where it should be.”

“We are Manchester United. We haven’t won the Premier League for a long time, but if you ask… (the answer is) Manchester United is the biggest team in England.”

“This is part of history, not now. We need to talk Promotion ufabet about it and try to win it again.”

Amorim will begin training with the team early next week before leading the team to their first Premier League match away to Ipswich on Sunday, November 24.
