Portugal releases several key players back to their clubs after successfully qualifying for the UEFA Nations League.

Portugal recently opened their home field to beat Poland 5-1 in the UEFA Nations League A Group 1, successfully advancing to the quarter-finals next year in the game on Friday.

After the game, Portugal coach Roberto Martinez gave the green light for several key players to return to their clubs, even though they still have another match away to Croatia on Monday, November 18. 

Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva and Chelsea’s Pedro Neto have all been allow to return to their clubs.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who will serve a suspension for the game against Croatia after receiving a full yellow card, has also been give the green light to return to the club, which will allow him to fully train with new Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim ahead of the Premier League game at Ipswich on Sunday, November 24.

Martinez has Register ufabet also called up Las Palmas Fabio Silva and Sporting Lisbon’s Giovani Quenda for the final game against Croatia. 

“These matches allow us to experiment and strengthen the team for bigger challenges ahead. Bernardo Silva, Pedro Neto, and Cristiano Ronaldo will rest, while Bruno Fernandes will be unavailable due to suspension after receiving a yellow card against Poland,” Martínez added.
